Booking and prices
Is it cheaper to book on your website?
Yes. Booking sites charge us a fee on every stay, so our website always has our lowest price. Find the same stay for less somewhere else and we will match it. Website bookings also get first pick of our parking passes.
What is your cancellation policy?
Bookings made on our website can be cancelled free of charge up to 2 days before arrival. Bookings made through a booking site follow that site's policy, which often needs 3 days or more.
How do I book a private room?
Choose the Queen Bed Room or the Private Room when you check availability. A group of 3 or 4 can also book all four beds in a 4-bed dorm and have the room to themselves.
Do you take groups?
Yes, from room blocks to the whole building. Groups of 10 or more should request a group quote. Best availability is November to March.
Arrival and check-out
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is after 2 PM and check-out is by 11 AM.
What if I arrive late?
No problem. Staff are on site until 8 PM. If you arrive later, we will text you a door code so you can let yourself in.
Can I leave my bags?
Yes. Luggage storage is free on your arrival and departure days.
What is the longest I can stay?
Up to 14 nights per stay.
ID and age
Is there an age limit?
Yes. Wrigley Hostel is for adults only, 18 and over.
What ID do I need?
An international passport or a US driver's license. US passports are not accepted, and Illinois licenses with a 606 zip code can't be accepted.
Rooms and facilities
Are sheets and towels included?
Yes. Fresh sheets, blankets and towels are included with every booking.
Where do I keep my things?
Every guest gets a free locker. Bring your own lock or buy one at reception.
What are the bathrooms like?
Private, lockable bathrooms, each with its own shower. Towels are included.
Is there air-conditioning?
Yes, every room has A/C and heat.
What else is there?
A guest kitchen, a BBQ deck, a lounge and game room with a pool table, a quiet room with desks and guest computers, and free wifi throughout.
Safety
Is it safe?
Keycard entry, security cameras, locks on every room, staff on site until 8 PM and an after-hours emergency line.
Do you have a female-only dorm?
Yes. Our female-only room has 4 beds and the same lockers, linens and A/C as every room.
Getting here
Where are you?
3514 N Sheffield Ave, Chicago, IL 60657, in Wrigleyville. Wrigley Field is steps away and Clark Street is around the corner.
How do I get downtown?
The Addison Red Line station is around the corner. Downtown is about 20 minutes away with no transfers.
How do I get here from the airport?
From O'Hare: 30 to 60 minutes by car, or about an hour on the Blue Line plus a short bus ride. From Midway: 30 to 60 minutes by car, or about an hour on the Orange Line to the Red Line.
Is there parking?
Parking near Wrigley Field is hard to find. We have a limited number of parking passes, and guests who book on our website get first pick. Ask when you book.
Accessibility
Is the hostel wheelchair accessible?
No. Our building is over 100 years old and has stairs only, with no elevator. Rooms are on several floors. If you're bringing heavy bags, we're happy to store them at reception.
