What If I Need To Cancel My Reservation?

Accepted Answer

For direct bookings, we require 2 days notice to cancel your reservation free of charge. A Credit Card is required to hold a reservation in the case of a no-show. If you do not cancel 2 days prior to your check-in date, the first 2 nights will be charged to the card we have on file.

For third party bookings, please check the cancellation policy listed on their website.

What If I Need To Extend My Stay?

If you need to stay another night, you must book at the front desk. If you book an extension through a third party or online, there will be a 15% fee applied.

What Time Is Check-In/Check-Out?

Check-Out is anytime before 11 AM and Check-In is anytime after 2 PM on the day of your arrival.

What If I Arrive After Reception Closes?

If you arrive after reception closes, we will set you up with a late arrival. There will be a code sent to you by text or email for our front door. We will have an envelope with all the necessary information you need for your stay waiting for you inside a locker at reception. The code for the locker will be the same as your entry code.

Who Can Stay At Wrigley Hostel?

Wrigley Hostel has ID requirements for guests who stay with us.

All guests must have an International Passport or a US Driver's License card to provide during Check-In. We do not accept US Passports.

Guests who have an Illinois Driver's License with a 606 zip code are not allowed to stay at Wrigley Hostel.

All guests must be 18 years or older.

Where Are You Located?

We are located in the heart of Wrigleyville, just off the Addison Red Line stop. Our address is 3514 N Sheffield Ave, Wrigleyville, Chicago 60657. We are surrounded by the most historic sporting stadium in Chicago, the best nightlife along Clark Street, and are walking distance from Montrose Harbor, the best beach in Chicago.

How Do I Get From the Airport to the Hostel?

For rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft, head to the pick up area in Terminal 2 Arrivals where there are designated zones. Our address is 3514 N Sheffield Ave, Chicago, 60657.

To use the CTA buses and trains, follow the airport signs for public transportation. You can purchase a ticket from a kiosk and take the Blue Line train (the "L") to the Addison Blue Line stop. From there the 152 bus will take you to the Addison Red Line stop. The hostel is just steps from this stop.

Do You Offer Parking?

Yes. There are parking options available for you. Wrigley Hostel has a limited amount of street parking passes available to guests who email to reserve them at least 48 hours prior to your arrival (2 days before the check-in date).​​ Please send an email to parking@wrigleyhostel.com with your reservation name and dates.

Our reserved parking is street parking. Generally, it is not a problem to find a parking space, but during events like Cubs baseball games, parking can be difficult. Please be aware of all posted signs, especially during winter when roads need to be snow plowed.

The primary parking option for guests is paid (cash only) parking at a lot located walking distance from the hostel. (Ivy's Parking at 1013 W Roscoe St, Chicago, IL 60657) Another great option is to use the parking spot finding website SpotHero.com

Are You Close To Public Transportation?

We are steps from the Addison Red Line stop which takes you straight downtown in less than 15 minutes and we are across the street from the Clark Street bus which will take you to all the museums and attractions in Chicago.

Can I Store My Bike At The Hostel?

We recommend locking it up on the gate out front.  Bikes are not allowed inside the building.

Am I Allowed To Drink Alcohol At The Hostel?

Absolutely. Wrigley Hostel is located in the party neighborhood of Chicago. We even have a common area to enjoy a drink with friends and our BBQ deck is the perfect place for a cold drink on a hot afternoon. There are hundreds of bars within walking distance. If you are over 21, feel free to bring your own alcohol because we don’t sell alcohol at the hostel.

What Security Do You Have At The Hostel?

We take security very seriously. Reception is open until 8 PM. We have an emergency number listed at reception for assistance after hours. All rooms have security locks and the building has security cameras. Lockers are available to guests to store all of their belongings free of charge. You may use your own lock or purchase one from the hostel for $5.

Do You Offer Luggage Storage?

Yes we do. On your Check-In and Check-Out dates we are able to securely store your luggage from 10 AM until 8 PM in our storage area. The storage area is for Check-In/Out dates only. During your stay, there are lockers available in rooms and hallways for secure luggage storage. You may use your own lock or purchase one from the hostel for $5.

Does The Hostel Supply Linens?

Yes. We provide sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels to guests. Personal bedding is not allowed and, if found, will be placed in storage until your Check-Out date.

No. We have a 14-day maximum stay policy per year.
