Travel Information Covid-19
The health and safety of our guests and staff is our top priority at Wrigley Hostel.
Please take a moment to review the steps we are taking to protect against Covid-19. We have made major changes to our normal operations to protect you and to ensure a safe and healthy hostel experience. We are following guidelines from the CDC and our local health department. We will continue to closely monitoring developments of Covid-19.
Effective January 3, 2022 proof of vaccination will be required for all guests who utilize our communal kitchen and indoor common areas.
Wrigley Hostel has always had high cleanliness standards. We use disinfectants listed on EMPA List N6 which describes disinfectants for use against Covid-19 and similar viruses. Sheets are properly washed after each guest check-out.
The frequency of disinfecting and cleaning has been increased throughout the hostel. We have emphasized cleaning high touch areas such as: door handles, door bells, faucets, bathrooms, fridges, handrails, key cards, ect. Hand Sanitizer is located in each common area.
Effective January 3, 2022 proof of vaccination will be required for all guests who utilize our communal kitchen and indoor common areas. Proof of vaccination must be shown to staff at check-in.
Private rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each use. Shared dorm rooms are still available however we have protocols in place to make sure each guest feels safe.
After May 1, 2021 all beds in dorm rooms will be available for booking. Both 10 bed and 4 bed rooms will be available at full capacity. Sleeping quarters spaces of 6ft distance will no longer be required.
Although we pride ourselves on being a social hostel we have implemented a social distancing policy to protect our staff and guests. Our social events are currently on hold. Our common areas will remain open however we urge you to follow the 6 feet social distancing guidelines when socializing with others. We urge you to use our beautiful outdoor area to minimize the risk of contracting Corona Virus.
Upon arrival we conduct temperature checks through a contactless thermometer to ensure all guests are healthy and safe. If you have a fever of 100+F you may be turned away. Masks are required by all unvaccinated and vaccinated guests as of August 22, 2021 in compliance with the City of Chicago’s mask mandate in indoor public areas.
